Crusty and rusty early 914 part out,
Guys & Gals--
I'd like to sell the American rims, but for the rest of the car is available. Let me know what you need and for free (or a minimal labor charge) the part is yours (S&H extra). PP members in the central Wisconsin area may want to pick up the whole car. --Papermaker ![]() ![]()

Hi Mark--
Are you keeping the ferry going? I read that the EPA was after it as a gross polluter. I'm a long stones throw from Point. You know, the home of Point beer who's motto is " It's a good beer and a wonderful laxative", I just walked down the hill to the car and the tag in the front of the door jam says 2859556, does that help ID the year? Also, while I was pushing away the deer tick infested brush from the door jamb I noticed the tell tale sign of summer in Wisconsin drifting on the breeze, skunk! I hope it isn't living under the car!!! --Papermaker |

Merrimac to Point! Wow, that's a drive man... Do you know Frank and Cory Cegelski (I think that theyn work there)? I drove to Appleton Papers every day for twelve-ish years, 63 miles on way.
Do you have any idea about the year of the 914? Thanks, |

There name does not ring a bell, some 500 employee's. Ya, in ten years I put over 500,000 miles on my Jetta TDI (to the moon and back). The door jam numbers don't seem to say any thing. The VIN is on the drivers windsheid upright ( should start with 47). Mark

Mark--
Thanks for the ID location (I should know where it is I've owned a '75 since 1995). The ID number is: 4712915409. Anybody know what year the car is? Thanks, --Papermaker |

Hi Ben--
PM me and let's get together and work out a time and date (fair warning, parts of the car are going fast). --Papermaker |

Guys--
I've been spending quality time working on the 914. I've decided that it's not as good as it looks! This is last call on the teener. Mission control has put up with it for many years and her patience is wearing thin. If you want anything else let me know ASAP! --Papermaker |

I think that there's a change in the 914's stance!
Guys--
A couple of weeks ago someone asked about the condition of the Targa bar trim so I took the roof off. Yesterday I noticed that there seemed to be a change in the 914's stance. The recycler is going to pick it up this afternoon. --Papermaker
