WTB Fuel Cell

Never found a fuel cell for my race car. MUST be SFI rated. If you think I can get it in a 914, I'm interested.

Zeke:
Patrick motorsports of Phoenix, makes a cell that uses a SFI approved blader inside an split 914 tank, I think at about $1400, but you better ask, because I am not sure.
Alberto.

Yeh, that's a nice unit, but out of my price range.

Latest price on that puppy is $1625...and you are on your own for pumps, filters and lines too. That's just the tank/cell...not even sure if it comes with the filler cap.

Pretty, but...Yikes

Stock location or custom mount? I don't have one, but I have seen a standard square(cube) cell mounted in the front trunk area with custom mounting. Should be considerably cheaper than trying to get a cell in the original location.

Just a thought.

hey chris, milt....

don't you think that patrick set up would be carrying your 10 gal or 80lbs of fuel a little high up...?

there are other ways of working around the space issue on the floor pan...

Well, since we're off to debating the virtues of different locations for the cell, let me tell you that some rule books (I think HSR, for one) don't allow the tank to be moved more than 6 inches from stock location. To clarify, I'm looking for a tank for the lower front of the trunk. I just don't want to shell out 600-700 bucks if I don't have to. I'm hoping someone is upgrading or changing capacity and is looking for a buyer for his older unit. Thanks.
