WTB: 914 in western Canada
Looking for a 914 to buy for a resto project. I am located in Calgary, Alberta, so anything in western Canada would be great. I am not sure about importing laws etc., but I will look into them if there is someone with a car in the NW states. Looking for a 73 2.0L with minimal rust of course, but anything is better than nothing!! This is for a resto project so it doesn't have to be in top shape. Please send E-mail to Daveb@electronicswholesale.com or post reply, Thanks, Dave

Dave,
there is a 72 on Evilbay. It's in Kelowna. Bid is at $700. 1 day left. Don't worry about importing one if you find one South. The process is straight forward and they do all the paperwork at the border. If it's over 25 yrs old, it's a antique, so no duty. Just GST on the value (converted to CDN funds). Make sure you document any purchase. Bring any copies of emails you have with you when you bring the car across. This way customs can't question it if you get a good deal. When I brought the 74 home, Customs questioned the price. A guy had bought a 911 home the day before. "Aren't all porsches expensive?" Make sure the car has the build date sticker (in the door frame) as customs needs month and yr of build. Title transfer from PO.
