First 944. Introducing myself... but really the car.

Hello! I'm the giddy new owner of a 1984 944, ruby red metallic, tan/brown interior, 47k original miles. I've had it less than a week and I love it. It's going to be my daily driver so I sought out one with good records. I plan to do some light maintenance myself but mostly it will be serviced by a local specialist. It drives tight and thus far I've had no major issues.

These forums were instrumental in my research before finding the right car. Thanks to all of you who posted about timing belts, dash cracks, etc. I wouldn't be behind the wheel of a Porsche without you.

Welcome, she looks great! Did you upgrade the lights as they look much better than factory in that picture?

I love it! I wish they made the cookie cutter wheels in 17 inch. I've always loved the look. Have fun.

Some people try to turn back their "odometers." Not me. I want people to know 'why' I look this way. I've traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved.

I didn't do anything to the lights and I don't have a record of any upgrades. I have some but incomplete history records, so it's possible a previous owner did something. Or it's just the picture.
