Start Issue

Ok, don't know what's going on, but my 88' 944 isn't running after starting, it turns over and when accelerating it cuts out around 1800 RPM. For what it's worth, had a DME laying around and replaced it, no change. Think it might be FMS or TPS?

Measure intake-manifold vacuum as you're driving, what's reading right before 1800rpms and it cuts out?

Also measure both AFM and TPS output as test. Voltage should change linearly and smoothly with no drop-outs or spikes. That will positively identify components as good or bad and you can replace/adjust as necessary.

Or you can randomly replace 110+ perfectly working parts with brand-new perfectly working parts and nothing changes.
