1986 cruise control problem
The cruise control on my 1986 944 seems to be stuck at 72 mph. Can't set/reset it. Any idea if this is the computer or some kind of sensor?

Usually it is a sticking control module.
If you give the cable connecting to the module a tug, you can see the throttle move - move it around and see if you can find where\if it is sticking. AFJuvat

i always heard that the cruise control on 944's becomes a bit whacky with time. short of replacing the whole unit there isn't much that can be done. My brother's white 944 accels and decels by itself (about 5mph both ways) but i'm sure AFJuvat is right about your problem.
