Horn works/doesn't work
I need help figuring out the horn on my 85.1.
The horn works, but only when the steering wheel is turned left or right at least a quarter turn. I'm thinking the ground path is interrupted ... somewhere, somehow... but am at a loss on where to start looking. Any ideas? Thanks, Tom |

sliding rotary-style contact between the steering wheel and hub.

Check for loose u-joints in the steering shaft. The ground signal uses the steering shaft. In a pinch, you can use wire to shunt the signal around the u-joints.

Probably not your problem, but mine was at the cross member. Ground was no good.
