I need to go to work in the morning and my baby is dead.
When I got back from work the car just quit as I was pulling into the drive. I did go over a speed bump (slowly) just before it quit. I checked for spark and have NONE. Should I have power at the coil with the ingition on? PLEASE help if you can. By the way it's good to be back online. Pelican BBS withdrawls suck. Thanks in advance. Oh ya, I have a '83 944. |

Check ground cable first - then check speed and ref dsensors to make sure they didn't get disconnected.
WIring connections to coil and dizzy cap next Lastly, make sure you didn't snap a belt AFJuvat

Sorry AFJvat, I replied but it did not get sent for some reason.
I checked the wires to the coil and the rotor. All looked good. I also cranked the engine over to make sure the rotor turned and it did. Could I assume the belt is ok? All electrical components work but the car just wont fire up when cranking over. Tell me more about the speed and ref sensors. Where would I find them and is there a test procedure to check if they are good? I've been looking at new cars but just cant find one I like as much. At least not enough to spend the money. Thanks again.
