Those are the same rear shocks/helper springs I plan to install on my car soon [968 m030]. Did you have to re-index the torsion bars or simply lower the the rear with the eccentric to bring down the ride height? How much of a gap do you have between the rear fender and tire now?
What dimensions and rate are your front springs? I have some 2.5"x10" 200# springs that I'm hoping will fit with a threaded spring collar. Looks good!

I don't know I got a Porsche race car specialist to do it for me
![]() There is not much of gap between the rear fender and tire, especially when I put my 17" 255 wheels+tire on. Will get some pic of the 17" soon.

I also have a rear coil suspension, I removed the torsion bars as they were no longer needed.
Your ride height should be controlled now at the threaded collars on the new shock assy.

The 968 m030 rear shocks don't have a threaded housing. There's no way to adjust ride height except with the factory eccentrics.
The reason I'm wondering if the torsion bars will need indexing is that, with 125# of extra spring force in the rear and stiffer shocks, the rear end won't sit as low as it did before. I'm hoping that anything gained in ride height from the extra firmness can be taken out with the eccentrics and not a massive torsion bar overhaul. The fronts will have threaded spring collars, so getting the correct ride height will be cake. Last edited by PorscheG96; 04-01-2003 at 02:57 PM.. |

The red is the powerchip the blue is the factory chip, the top lines are powers the bottom are torques.
The verdict is minimal gain the only reason I am keeping the powerchip is for the 500rpm extended rev limit. It comes in real handy on very tight track.
