Could I get a Part Number for this Bolt?

Could someone tell me the part number for the bolt labeled as "D" in this picture is? Credit for the picture goes to the user ernie9944

It’s 944-424-147-00 and you can buy it online from Sonnen or any other Porsche dealership who sells online.

Thank you so much! Do you know by chance how to remove and replace this bolt? I am looking at it and it looks like there's no way of replacing it without taking the grinder to it?

Remove nut 30 to remove the bolt and everything else attached to it. No grinder necessary.

I remember thinking that the last time I looked at one. It’s a mystery for sure but Porsche somehow managed to fit the plastic inserts into the holes so they must be removable. Unfortunately I cannot be of further help as I’ve not tried removing them myself. In fact I’ve upgraded all mine to the ones Only944 sells which you should consider wyit seeing as just the Porsche bolt costs more.

That won’t do it, the inserts in 28 will stop the bolt 29 coming out which is the issue the op is asking about.

Haven’t tried it in this application but that’s the official method for installing plastic seat belt bushings on Cessna aircraft and it works beautifully for that very similar problem.

Just in case you hadn't thought of this:

When you need a special part that is $$$$ from the dealer, used parts can be your friend. So a call/email to Plyhammer Parts or John Graves (google justjoshin' porsche) can bail you out of an otherwise expensive problem. Even if they charge (the customary) 50% of new, you're still ahead.

I would second what AZ mentions about only944 shifter bits ... not only are their products a major improvement to a 40 year old design but Kyle stands by his products 100%.
I had the bolt "B" become loose in the threads after six years of use on my race car and Kyle graciously sent me a complete newer ( updated ) unit free of charge.Not many people stand by their products like that these days ...

Okay then guys. You convinced me. I'll buy the only944 shift arm. I do have a question though. Is it difficult to install this without taking the transmission out of the car? I know that only944 sells the cut wrench, but even with that, is it difficult? And have you done it?

I installed mine out of the car and it was extremely simple. The toughest part will be taking out and putting in the replacement for 28-A in the previously posted diagram. It should not be too hard.
