Question Nothing at the bottom of the windshield, 1983 944

Good morning all. My son just bought a 1983 944 in really nice condition; his first Porsche. The previous owner had put in a new windshield, and we noticed that there is no kind of plastic body work at the bottom. the windshield just ends, and you can see under the hood. I'm concerned because the battery is slighly exposed.
Is there a part that goes at the bottom, and if so, what is the part number. Thank you in advance for your help.

No, there is nothing between the windshield and the battery, wiper motor or heater blower motor.

That's why Porsche installed a battery cover when they were new. It only took me three years to find a nice one but it's on now!

I admit that the design could be improved, with the wiper motor right there and all...

i took a plastic coolant bottle (prestone, whatever i had) and split it in half. i use it to cover the top of the battery. this keeps the positive terminal from grounding on stuff, as it is close to the firewall, AND rainwater/wash-water doesn't run over the top of the battery.

This is the closest message string that I could find for this same question. I saw on another discussion that there actually SHOULD be a cover between the windshield and firewall. It's in the picture attached.

Has anyone found a part number for this cover? Thanks for any info.
I'm trying to find one for a 1987 924S

That’s on later cars, the early cars on which your 924S is based, doesn’t have anything there and the later part you’ve identified won’t fit your car.
