83 944 automatic transmission main pressure control valve
my friends 83 944 auto trans started 'acting up' recently. did some searching but no luck. on Clark's garage is lists one item that can cause erratic behavior is a stuck main pressure control valve. searched and looked at the WSM but just cant find this.
another item is to check vacuum line to the transmission. cant find that either. can anyone provide info on this? link? thanks.

I seem to remember edredas on YouTube doing an episode on the 944 auto-box ... may be worth a search. Other than that, beyond my skill set.
