In this video the owner jacks the car from the transaxle, is that appropriate for lifting the car on to jack stands?

What jacking point is used for the front end?
I have jacked my car by the transaxle but I am nervous doing this due to all the weight of the car being on that transaxle mount which is only two very thin bolts.

You can also jack the front under the front subframe (not the oil pan) which supports the engine. My car is too low to get my jack under there but you might be able to get it if you are at stock ride height.

Preferably you want to jack by the two points under each door marked with a diamond stampled into the running board. This will allow you to lift the entire side of the car at once. I put jack stands under the front frame rails close to the engine where it is reinforced and also in the rear I put them under the torsion bar "caps".

And you know, a very quick google search for these types of questions are your friend. Heres pelican's article on jacking points:https://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/Porsche_944_Turbo/01-BASICS-Safely_Jacking_Up_and_Supporting_Your_944/01-BASICS-Safely_Jacking_Up_and_Supporting_Your_944.htm
