PCM2 date incorrect

Hi all, I have a facelift '04 Boxster 2.7 manual.
I know how to change the region & time etc, but am unable to change the date to current. Its in 2002 at present. Sat Nav, radio, CD changer, phone module all functioning OK.
Can someone explain what is required to set the date, a minor issue, but with my OCD it's driving me nuts.

Probably something different from the way that they do it on 944 cars.

The date on my 2004 996 turbo PCM2 is wrong and i cannot correct it even with a PIWIS or PST 2. The problem started about a year ago when the date would sometimes not show when the unit was on and would either appear later or if I pushed the 1, 4 and 8 buttons together to soft reset the system. The problem then recurred when I re-started the car later.

On the 944 cars, the PCM2 can be retrofitted and adjusted with the factory data manipulation tool. Press the buttons on the keypad to spell "I cannot read"...
