Fuel Hoses to Sending Unit

Fuel Hoses to Sending Unit
Yesterday I was diagnosing my non working fuel gauge on my 85.2 and when I pulled the fuel level sender I noticed that the hoses that ran to the sender were starting to come apart. I was wondering if anyone knew the part number for both hoses and if the tank must be removed to replace them or if they can be snaked to the top of the tank from underneath (I haven't been under the car to see if they are able to yet). It looks like there are three total hoses. I think the feed line come directly from the filter and has one threaded end and one open hose end and I think I may have found a part number for that hose. The other with the sharp bend I haven't had much luck with yet and it appears as if it consists of two parts. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Here is a picture of what I'm looking at:

The tank will have to be lowered.

I had to replace my hoses last year and they were original 1989 hoses. I lowered my tank some and attached the new to old hose from up top to pull it down from underneath the car and still had problems. It would go so far and then get stuck. I had to use a little bit of dawn dishwashing detergent as a lubricant to get it to slip past the obstruction and finally want to come down.

Thats not a bad idea either. The tank can come down some with the transaxle in place and snaking the lines would be a good idea. Will allow me to replace the hoses before I'm ready to remove the transaxle and torque tube for a clutch replacement. Did you make the hoses work using standard fuel hose or were they Porsche replacement parts?

I dropped the tank as far as I could and replaced a total of 4 hoses back there if I remember correctly. Even though the hoses were original I think that the ethenol caused them to finally develop a lot of hair line cracks that cause the fuel to leak through one of them. I used injector hose that was a combo of 5/16 and 3/8 if I remember correctly from my auto parts store and special fuel injection hose clamps from the same place. Cost me under $20 to do the lines.

With this being NLA from Porsche I have made up these hoses in the past.

Always needed the Original Fitting, as it is quite unusual, a M14 Female Flare x M10 Hose....

Does anyone have an old one of these special fittings I could buy?

I am thinking of having a few made up but need a sample to get it correct.

An alternate is making up an adapter hose...

but with crimps instead of clamps so it will clear the tight spaces.

I used those clamps in photo 2 and have had no issues. I originally took my fittings to a local hose place and they do not do fuel lines at all anymore because of the fuel now adays for liability reasons.

Here is what I put together moments ago...

I know it's difficult to snake this through, but once in place the clamps can be used to complete the job.
