Shifter bolt 924s

A few thousand miles ago I took out the transmission to access the fuel tank in the car. Last week the shifting got sloppy suddenly and the pointed bolt that secures to the rod that goes forward to the lever in the car was loose. I swear I put loctite on it. Is this common to come loose? Maybe I forgot the loctite? Should I carry a spare pointed bolt?
Thanks

IIRC, that bolt has a hole in it for safety wiring.

Yes , do safety wire that bolt, you don't want to be left stranded if it backs out or falls out !
