If the fans actually stop running after several minutes then that is normal.
If they never stop (until the battery dies) then your temperature switch in the radiator is stuck in the "on" position.

Eduardo,
Being that it is summer time, a fan running after you cut off the switch is normal. I have heard of some with the low temp switches having dead batteries from this. The fan will run untill the radiator temp gets below it's cut off point. drew1 |

On my 81 924 there is a ballast resistor behind the guage cluster on the firewall. It runs the fans at low speed untill the temp guage drops below the 1/2 mark then it shuts off. This is normal.
