ok.... i guess this is it....i tried my best to find a way to have an affordable mass conversion kit
and here's what i come upto.. the cost. 1)mass sensor(plastic) for 225.00(calibrated to any inj.rate you prefer)metal is 50.00 more.. 2)a.p.e mass conversion chip.....350.00(if you have a diff. chip other than ape..you can trade it and that is the cost)(IF YOU HAVE A.P.E..they can reprogram it for ur spec. too for less) 3)harness(connector from existing to mass sensor) 85.00 from a.p.e too or just spliced it to save 85.00.. 4)plumbings and airfilter...ur choice of setup(chrome or reg.plumbings) WHAT DO YOU THINK??? |

Have you actually put this setup together on your car or is it still in the "here is what I could do stage"? I did talk to Proflow myself but am still gathering info.

let's see it run, dyno test it to know you got it right (plus a/f ratios), and then I'd be interested in the reduced cost possibility!...
Keep us posted! |

Sounds great. I can't wait to hear the results. Your original post implied they would take my non APE chip as a swap at no cost? Did I understand this correctly?

white951...nope u understood it correctly...if you have a non A.P.E chip they will only give you a discount(125.00)..originally just the chip alone is 475.00 mass conv.chip..if you trade in yours they will charge you 350.00..

I need to chill with all the tweaking going on with my car, but anybody see why the same maf unit wouldn't work on an NA, without the chips?
With a total investment of about $225 to $250? Ahmet ------------------ It's all the driver... |

Today I saw on Lindsey Racings site they are coming out with a MAF this month. I emailed David Lindsey and he said it will be out the later part of April. Site says it will be cost effective. David says it will work with anyones chips. Better if they are stage 2 chips.

For calibrating the MAF sensor, does anyone know whether APE just sends it out to pro flow and has it calibrated, or do they actually calibrate it. For those that are trying to save a little money, go to a junkyard and pickup a ford MAF then have it recalibrated.
