Post Best Source For 944 clutch

I have searched the archives and can't get a good concensus on where to purchase my clutch kit from. I have an 85.5 n/a. I am planning on changing it later this week. So I need to know where to buy the kit for the best price, and where to find the upgraded spring centered version.

I would check Zimms Autotechnik in Texas (1-800-356-2964)or Vertex in Miami(1-305-442-2727). They have good parts, good service and great prices. Just make sure that you get the updated center disk.

I got the "full" kit from Pelican-Parts.

I think it was worth it.

PS: 5K miles later I had to replace the Master and Slave cylinders (which came with the kit, but I hadn't installed).

You guys should get a copy of the Excellence magazine, and look thru it for the clutch. Barrier Motors is/was selling the clutch kit advertising at $355.00 (Feb 2001 issue).
