Body compatability for 85.5+
Does anybody know how similar the body styles for the 85.5+ 944
are to the other models (S, S2, etc)? ....I know the models LOOK almost identical (except for the underside valence and front nose on the turbos)...but are they exactly the same... I have a 951 (944T) with some rear damage, and want to know which cars I can salvage from....any ideas? Steve |

Rear ends are the same from the 924 through the 951 and 944S.
The only difference is the addition of the bracket for the electric hatch opening motor. The early ones don't have this. I have a detailed body shop section for replacing the rear panel(s) in the 924 workshop manuals I just scanned in and PDF'd. Might also be in the 944 manuals. Will have to check.
