Post Dipping Idle???

When I shift the car out of gear and take my foot off the gas the idle will dip to around 400 to 500 rpm which is accompanied by a couple of moments of engine shake, then the idle pops back up to 900 rpm and is nice and smooth (thanks to the new motor mounts). It happens every time and the motor never dies. I had read a thread on this subject awhile back but it seemed that no clear solution had been given. The car just came back from the shop where it received a full service/tuneup. I thought that maybe that would have taken care of it but obviously it hasn't. I've also run a bunch of Techron through it over the last couple of days, to no effect though. Any thoughts? Idle mixture?

i would check your vacuum hoses, and your electrical connections to your fuel injection system components. i had similar problems a long time ago and it was a loose electrical connection to the airflow sensor.

good luck!

check you idle stabilizer under the intake manifold. Tap it with a scrwe driver the next time it dips. You may have to replace it........just something to look into...vas

Hi one other thing that you might try is to turn up the Idle a lil bit this will help the engine catch a lil bit sooner...Stan
