I read some old posts about a booster for the antenna on the later models that have the antenna in the windshield. My reception sucks and I can't get any AM. Where the *#$# is this "booster" and how do I get to it to make sure it has a good 12V source?

Hi,
Sounds like the booster for sure. I bet it probably wasn't wired up if you are using an after market radio. I made this mistake with my first 944. If you get no replies I will pull my radio out and tell which wire it was. I'm using a Fuba tennea now. |

Kevin-
Thanks. Hopefully someone has a diagram or remembers the wire color. -g [This message has been edited by geoffbaltz (edited 06-17-2001).] |

I got it. The little black wire coming right off of the antenna wire (duh, my name is mud). Works like a champ.
Grommit- do a search on "antenna booster" on the 944 board. There are some posts there about the little antenna you are talking about. A Picture of a 968 with one too! -G ------------------ Geoff Baltz '86 944 Turbo http://www.ninefiveone.com |
