Porsche Crest new drivetrain noise?

Okay, nothing is really going wrong with my car right now, It's time I worry myself with something else potentially going out.

About...2 months ago my car seemed to get louder. I think it's coming from the rear, sounds almost like the engine got louder...only it's in the rear. Pushing the clutch in doesn't help. I can only hear it above 30 mph, it also stops when I turn right, and I'm pretty sure it does the same turning left. Sort of a rumbling noise...I also need to replace my clutch, I've got the shudders and some rare slipping.

This might sound stupid, but I'm a big fan of Occam's razor.....have you taken a good look at your exhaust? I've found they like to fail where the exhaust is welded to the muffler. After that, when was the last time you looked at your CVs and wheel bearings?

Your nuts are loose!

Well, the nuts on the rear stub axles. Or one of your roller bearings is dry and has spun it's inner race on the stub axle.

If you haven't repacked them (the rear bearings) in 30,000 best to open them up and talk a hard look. Be prepared to replace the stub axles as well as the bearings and seals.
