They look nice but the price may be going a bit high for aftermarket when you factor in the $50 each shipping.

A very nice gentleman is sending me his 2000 Boxter from NY and charging me $68 shipping for the pair UPS ground.

$68 for shipping a Boxster? Wow

But seriously, thanks for the advice. I was thinking it was a bit high too.

Thing is, I need new tires. I will eventially want a second set of wheels so I can have racin rubber on one set, so I have been looking for a set of wheels with good rubber. I guess I will continue the search. Ideal would be 4 16x8s with good rubber, close enough for me to drive and get them. I am a dreamer.

I had my 944 shipped from detroit to boston for $325, $200 for 4 wheels seems sort of outrageous.

Oppsss...Meant to say $68 shipping for 4 boxter wheels and tires. Sometimes I think faster than I type.

hey "ramstein" if you are lookin for an extra set of wheels and tires i may have some. I have a set of c-2 wheels that i have on my 944, painted silver. could use a redo. they were origonally a limited edition green finish to match the car ( yyeeehhgg !! ) so they were stripped and repainted. I believe they are 16x7 front and 16x8 rear , 4 michelin pilot tires fronts are like new, rears are getting a little low....I have a set of 17s to put on the 944 when the body work is done at the end of the month..

That's a decent price, based upon my research. New Mille Miglias 17s will run you about $1400 from TireRack with new Yokohama AVS ES 100s.

But everybody is right, the shipping's way too high. I just got used wheels/tires for $20 per wheel via UPS. But bidding is over and the reserve wasn't met

Send the seller an e-mail and offer him something.

I had some shipped from the US to Canada, for $150US for all 4 wheels/tires. That was via FedEx. There is no way I would pay $200 US to ship within the united states!

Wow- right you are. I priced out 4 new 17" Mille Miglias from Tire Rack with the Yokos, it would be $1500 with shipping. Why are these wheels so cheap, are they really heavy or something?

FYI,

I don't know if they're made in the same place, but some OEM Porsche wheels, like the 17" TTs that I bought, are actually made in Italy.

I wonder why Porsche settled on a unique bolt circle............

Sure makes the selection out there limited.......(and expensive!!)
