Does it read a hair above 1 bar when you just switch on the ignition without starting the engine(assuming sea level conditions)? It should because 1 bar is 14.5 psi. If it does, then at least it's reading correctly at 1/2 scale.

Do yourself a favor: save to spend or just spend about $475 at

www.lindseyracing.com

and get yourself a real wastegate, 100% bolt in, buy the manual controller, and get rid of that piece of crap that is presently your wastegate. Porsche built in too much leakage for the factory one and besides, the springs are crap anyway. You will like the results!

at one bar it is no boost or atmospheric preasure, about 14.5 pounds. Normal boost is about .8-.9 bars about 12 ponds. 2 bars 29 pounds would explode about any engine on contact.

The gauge is just set up that way and yes it reads almost 2 bars at full boost but that is actually almost 1 bar, a little less about .8-.9 or 12 lbs. Just the way they did the gauge.

Lawrence is correct, 1/2 scale gauge. I thought the same when I first got my car about 4 or 5 years ago but have read up on it.

thanks! i cant check it out yet because of my destroyed header, the car is in the garage. i only drove it for two weeks before i did the cambox seal which lead to the fuel inj. cap fun, i also had the flanges welded back on( they had seperated) only to reinstall and find another leak. the lidsey wastegate seems to be on the "must have" list. is it compatable with the k 27 or all other upgrades, or does it have limitations? i dont know much about wastegates yet. thanks again!
