How many S2 sold in US or worldwide? I think Porsche didn't make many of them.

And they say that S2's can't be modded! Nice job, ehpower! I have a question: the authority chip: how much, where can I buy one, and what can I expect from it?

Thanks,
-Z.

Good list so far...

eh, that sounds like you have put a lot of work & $$$ into your car. I'm guessing about $4-$5k in performance mods, unless you did some of it yourself, in which you saved on labor.

for me, i have those same performance numbers (259 hp fly, 300 ft lbs tq) due to the weltmeister chips & wastegate shim. and it cost me a total of $399. to me, that's the beauty of forced induction.

The chip was $400. It was one of the first thing I purchased for my S2. When I first put it in I did not notice a difference. I think it was the fact that expected more. After about six months I took the chip out to smog my car. At that point I discovered the chip did a whole lot. I notice the difference without the chip. My car felt very slugish without the chip. It also raised my redline by 500RPMs. Currently the chip is installed to help out with timing and the raised redline. The Huntley Racing MAF kit does the rest. One thing to think about is the cost. For the money I spent on my engine I could of purchased a 86 951.

I spent about 6K on parts. The car is very fast and fun to drive but it is still not fast enough. I am thinking about either a super charger or maybe a V8 conversion. Have not decided yet.

Hey, fellow S2'ers

Any of you guys have cold-start issues? Mine takes about four tries before it catches...embarrassing, more than anything else. Runs perfect, once it's running. Could it have anything to do with DME relay? Temp sensor? Brain was replaced about 40K ago (the car's, not mine!). Thanks fer yur help!!
