If you talk to the guy, ask about the titles - he's got them listed as clear, but the description says they have liens.

I think by "clear" he means not branded as a salvage vehicle. The lien holder should release their interest in the vehicles upon payment. Escrow may not be a bad idea though...

NEVER assume that the titles are clear financially. one never knows what financial shape the seller is in, or what those liens might be. you're right, some type of escrow situation would be the best way to go
