Question Changing Steering Wheel

I just bought a used Dino steering wheel for my early '85 944. Ordered the Hub from Performance Products. They don't include install directions. Has anyone ever removed original wheel and replaced with momo or dino wheel. Thanks.

It is relatively easy to get off. Pry the horn button off at bottom. I think it has 3 plastic plug in type fasteners. Two are along the bottom about 25% in from the edge. Use a prying tool in the crack at bottom of button. Once off, a socket wrench gets the nut. Don't know about changing wheels, however.

This is for a 951.

Try to get your wheels straight before removing old wheel & aim the new hub "top" marking to 12 o'clock. Snug the nut, mount the wheel, & take it for a short drive. Adjust a spline or two if you need to, then remove wheel & mount horn button.

Cool

Thanks for the help. The hub should be here this week. I'll probably try to change wheels this weekend. I'll do my best to record my steps out here in case someone else needs to do the same. palaxdad
