Just curious what everyone is paying for gas. The place I normally go to cost $1.17. That is in central PA. My brother told me about a place that is $0.99 a gallon! So, whats it like across the country?

I'm in So. Cal. 91 octane @ $1.75 local. I just got back from Kansas City where same brand and grade was $1.27 per gal. I think Cal taxes are about .15 per gal (same as fed rate) - I don't know if that's the major part of the regional difference.

Also in the Bay Area, and while I agree that the $2.05 is not atypical, I buy my gas at about $1.89 for 91octane.
A better comparison might be to look at the prices at a particular chain (chevron) ------------------ Mike 86 944 |

in la habra ca, albertsons gives a coupon for "their" gas station.
$4.00 off for 10 gal or more. requires $100. grocery purchase to get coupon. gas was 1.39/1.49/1.59. i figured with coupon regular was $1.05 to fill up today, (not the porsche). |

The Albertsons here in FL only sell groceries! The Costco here is pretty cheap for gas though. Like $1.00 or so, but you gotta be a memeber. My mom is one, but I can't use her card.
