Tachometer diagram

Ive been looking at the back of my tach but cant figure out how the two plugs are supposed to plug in. Is there something somewhere that show the plugs positioning to plug into the back of my tach.
Reason is that I had an early early tach in my car and replaced it . The plugs are there but my early tach had only one plug attached to it. So I am kinda lost.

This may be of no help, but my 924S' tach had two plugs, a white one and a gray one. The gray one, which had two wires that came from the Hall sensor on the speedo, plugged in on the right side, looking from the rear of the unit. The white one, with four (?) wires plugged in on the remaining connections to the left. IIRC there was a slot on each of the connectors that connected them together, and prevented you from plugging them in backwards.
