Question 15 phone dials or 16 928 style

When I bought my 944 it came with a set of 15 inches phone dials mags and a set of 16 inches polished 928 style wheels. Both sets of wells need some repairs and tires, before I start spending I need to decide witch I will keep.

I drove both but the tires are not I good shape so I did push them too hard. I noticed that with the 15 inches when I down shift while turning the rear end is loose, not to the point of loosing control but still.

I know that the 16 inches will handle better but will the 15 inches give me a more comfortable ride (the roads are not good here in Quebec). I just need feedback from you guys to guide my choice.

Thanks,

I personally like the phone dials much better, I have a set of 16" phone dials painted white and a set of 15" fuchs, that I really like. In my opinion the car is much more fun to drive on 15" wheels, what color is the car? any pictures?

15"s will give a better ride because the tyre will have a taller side wall. 16"s will give more grip (less tyre side wall= less flex when cornering).

The color is champagne with a bit of pink (I don't know the name for that color). Here is a photo with the phone dials and another with the 928 types.

As much as I like the phone dials, I think the 928 wheels look much better on your car

I went from 15 to 16's and it didn't chage the ride all that much. I agree with some of the other people and think the 928 wheels look better on that car.

Bonjour Phil, i am in near Montreal (Sorel-Tracy) and have had the same dilemna. I had 15 Dials and now i got some 16s Design 90. in the end, either the Design 90 or 928 Dishes will give you a more classy/modern look while the Phone Dials will give you more of a specific/distintive look. There are not too many Phone Dials alike on the street - apart the new Mini Cooper alloys, who are fancy version of Dials.

The 15s are much quieter on the ride in Quebec, i tried them too. Drop me a line.
