How to perform a leak down test?
I've got a 951 engine on the stand that I would like to do a leak down test on. I know all the specifics of leak down testing and I've got the equipment but I'm not well versed in 944 engine.
My question is how do I find TDC for each cylinder so that I know the valves are closed for that cylinder? Is there an external marking on the engine or do I have to pull the cam cover to watch the valves? |

Stick a wooden dowel in the sparkplug hole.
........... and you dont have a cam cover......... its actually a camshaft housing. The camshaft comes with it.
