Didn't think I was ranting hehehe. Just stating that in the Porsche world my 924 is worth about $2,000, and thats not much. I love the car and its a great hobby.

No harm- no foul Roger. I prove how unworthy my car is in the corners (HA- same suspension setup as the 944) - THEN overtake the 944's on the straights- I have more HP.
(more low end grunt, higher compression ratio, Taller gears, more HP... I just smile.) and then I smile again as I pass them on the track.

hey chris, how do you pass us on the track with the auto?
![]() i have fond memories of the past DE i did at moroso in january - i passed a 911 in the miata... with NO CLUTCH stupid slave cylinder! my roommate said i had to pass a 996TT before he'd give me props, but i guess a regular old 911 would have to do, hehe

Easy. I top out at a higher speed overall. the 3 spd auto has no rev limiter. at 5K rpm I'm at 142 mph.

I just got a 1987 Porsche 924s about two months ago. I like them a lot. Soon I'm going to turbocharge it. Then it will be a rare car. I don't see too many of them that are turbocharged.

But serious Will take a look at the various boards on this issue. It has been beaten to death and back several times! There is a ton of opinions and suggestions on this very matter. You will soon understand the remarks made. I wish you the best!! Dal

I've got a 924S for autocross and track. I wouldn't call them rare, but less common than the 944 series. I was fortunate enough to get a option delete car without Sunroof, Rear Wiper, etc. I wouldn't look for any one to think that they would be valuable, but certainly they can hold there own on the road and track, especially given there reasonable cost.

Having had both a 924S and an '89 944, I have to say that I like the '89 more. Mainly because the vents actually work and my knee never hits the steering wheel of the 944. Now, that's not to say that the 924S wasn't a complete blast.
