door handles
Hey not sure if this is verging on a ricer mod but hey ho........saw these on ebay they are door handles for a mk1/2 golf that look like newer mk3/4 ones. I'm sure I was told that the 924/944 handles are from the vw parts bin so think these updated handles would fit. Also far cheaper than 993/968 ones!
Think they look a bit better than the current handles but I just got chrome inserts so didn't bother buying. Also not 100% sure they would fit?!

I've always wanted to put handles like that on my 944, but I was told they wouldn't fit. That confused me, since the early door handles are from a VW golf (mk 1 I believe), and early and late doors are the same...
I wonder if it's the latch mechanism and lock mechanism inside that are different?

Yeah not sure because if you look at any golf mk1/2 doors on ebay they have exactly the same hole pattern as ours. Also as far as I know the latch is the same.
I was considering fitting flush audi handles like a lot of vw golf people do, but they need welded in and thats beyond my skills think they would look great though.

I don't think it'd be rice at all. Guys put different mirrors on all the time and they can look classy.

Ryan not sure if it was the hole pattern or the audi handles so heres a few pics I think the flush Audi handles would look uber cool!
not sure about these at all don't like them myself they might look better colour coded?!:- These fitted my handles (84 n/a) and think they are nice simple mod cheap too. Armour plates should fit too good at hiding marks if someone has tried to screwdriver your handle to break in also prevents it happening in the first place!:
