cheapest hatch struts
Hey, does anyone know a cheap place to get the hatch struts? i looked at a performanceproducts catalog for the porsches and they ran to about 50-60 a piece...at monument car parts they were 80 a piece. Are they all this expensive? or are there cheap sites out there. thanks

someone on the board may have a spare set of functioning used ones. Thats how I aquired mine

Some of the cheap hatch struts are too strong for the hatch, and contribute to the glass separating from the frame. Our advice is to replace the hatch shocks with porsche originals, not the aftermarket ones.

George is right about the higher pressure struts separating the hatch glass. This is not the road you want to go down. You don't want to learn about all the 3M products and tricks of the trade for resealing glass to frames.
