Unfortunately, there could be several causes. ranging anywhere from poorly adjusted cables to a destrpyed transmission

Could you please be a little more specific as to what happens when you put the car in 1st or reverse? - nothing, moves very slowly, etc.

If your problem is more serious than basic repairs, I would strongly suggest replacing the transmission with a used unit. The costs involved with repairing an automatic are usually prohibitive.

do not move at all

I live in Acapulco, is not easy to import and to pay a lot of shipping
if there is no option I will do it.

I want to try to rebuild it.

I have all the seals to rebuil it,

I wondering if some vw or audi parts (discs, etc ) fit this trans

The 944 auto trans is basically that out of a VW transporter. The seal kit is usually available and find a good VW technician and it will be fixed.

Same as the car, it was used for a long time by VW, any VW tech with exxperience will know.

Garage
Very useful info to keep in mind.

The VW compatibility.... does that go for both the tranny as well as the differential?

The 944 auto is the VW one in general, the diff is different (slightly) but the VW parts fit.

Usually, the biggest problem is failure of the seals that seperate the trans from the diff, which means the diff oil goes into the trans and leaks out everywhere and the diff fails due to lack of lube.
We've done a couple off those, but nowadays the cost of repair tends to put owners off.
