Help: Headlights Won't Close
My '83 944s headlights don't always want to close when powered off. If I open the hood and touch the dial on top of the motor, that generally initiates the movement, and they close. I've lubed all the pivot points on the linkage with white lithium grease, the motor seems like its working, and seems strong once I get it going.... any ideas? Thanks.

You have some bad diodes in the motor housing ( it must have jammed and over heated it at one time ). Replace the motor with a good used one. The same thing happen on my 924.
