swap short 5th gear
How do you get the rear transaxle housing off? I have all the allen head bolts out, and there is about a 1/8" gap, but I'm reluctant to force it.
Is there something behind the rubber disc in the end plate? If so, what is the best way to remove the rubber disk with out damage? JM |

There is a nut behind that black Cover. You have to drive a Screwdriver thru the center and pry it off , no way to save it.

The black circular cover is cheap and is still available, so it is easy to source another.

The shop manuals give you a step by step in taking that thing apart.
