Oil system mods.
Hey guys, just looking for some feed back. Im doing some tiny mods to the oiling system just to get it a little better, Im gonna rework the return line and get it away from the oil pick up, along with adding a ring around the oil pickup, thus making it suck from lower in the pan so during high G corners it wont suck dry. Any of you guys done any of this before??? Any feedback??
Not my engine but same idea with the ring around the pick up. Im not sure how the return will look just yet, I still have to fad up something.

Adding some baffles in the pan and possibly a crank scraper is ideal...........

My pan has trap doors, and my crank has had #2 and #3 cross-drilled for more oil at high RPMs.

I am planing on using this setup, with a scraper. does anybody have any experience with it or have any other ideas? If I pull the pan, mains and rods, what else needs to come off to pull the crank to polish and cross drill? I dont know how the oil pump and front of the engine is put together on these things. |
