And now the latest round of bench racing goes as follows. I've got an '87 924 M030 tub, and some friends just back back from Vagas. While they were out there, they stopped by Renegade Conversions to look at their 944 conversion package. The motor would be a bowtie LS-1 and we'de mate it up with a 968 6-speed, of course with LSD. We've got a complete set of Wilwood 4-piston brakes at the shop, and to go even further over the top, we're thinking of doing a 968 WIDEBODY kit from Hank at GT Racing. The car has a valid title so here's the question race fans. Do we built a rocket of a street ride with a full cage, killer strero and no A/C or make it into a dedicated track car to compete in SCCA SPO class. The 968 was just placed in SPO and when we were down at Sebring last year got passed by all those tube frame cars like Mustangs, Vetts and Camaros. It won't suttle or tame either way.
Please chime in. Love it or flame it I'd like to know what you think. Thanks, Steve E
