He is not the only game around. There is guy here who is affiliated with a UK company that makes chips and HFM units. Get one of the chips, I hear they are identical. Stuff costs more than Wilk but by the time he does surface if he does the price for his goods are going to rise just because of all the interest. And the guy does have an attitude with youthful stupidity so he may charge even more or not at all.

I was set to buy a PP2 and never could connect so I have written FR off.

My opinion is he was tired of the young inexperienced owners and the questions so he just moved on. Not fair in my opinion as all P car owners have to learn and ask dumb questions in order to get in the groove so to speak.

I can read into SoCal and some of his replies. He too seems a bit tired of the "outside the box" questioning and the failures those had not listening to him. After a while I can see one stepping away. SoCal still sticks around but he has limited his replies. I feel FRW is a few yards ahead of him and he has left for a more "mature group".

Not saying you all are asking stupid questions and are less than stellar consumers but there are those who can really grate on someones nerves. Perhaps this is the reason for his departure....?

Not sure what is going on.... it does look like someone hijacked FRWILK's account.

Thread closed till this gets straightened out.

My last contact with Mr. Wilk

The last time I had any contact with FR Wilk was about 6 mos. ago. I am a Los Angeles person who does not live very far from where Mr. Wilk does business, I had a fender I wanted to give to him to show appreciation for his tips on everything 944 related (specifically my shifter rebuild). He could not have been more responsive. However, I did not want to ship it and offered to meet him anywhere near his place to give him the fender and deliver it to him, for nothing. He only wanted it shipped. He stopped answering my emails. Now, I feel bad I didn't ship it. Also, I too, wanted to be the first kid on my block with his sweet looking MAF set-up.

I am very sorry he has disappeared from the scene. I hope it is temperamental genius behavior and nothing more serious.

Warmest regards (wherever you are). I will send you that fender.

mjaffe, any chance you could go knock on his door and find out what's going on? I wrote to him offering to provide him a computer and help him set it up including security and he wrote me a really nice email back saying that everything was stolen and there was nothing left to set up. But he also mentioned he had it on an internet server somewhere so I wrote back and offered to fly to LA and help him develop a complete new setup, but he never responded after that.

well, i have stayed away from this post, and others like it, because of all the negative things going on. however, i did receive an e-mail a couple months ago, supposedly from FR.wilk. he asked me if i still had the fitting instructions for the power prom dual chip ?? now that seemed really strange. if it was him, why on earth would he want those. i'm sure that info is permanently attached to his grey matter.
i have to say, something weird has definately gone on,but what, i cant say.
in my dealings with him, i have found him to be very honest, and trustworthy.
i did send an item to the real FR.WILK, and only he would know what this was. if he was to e-mail me, and verify this, then i would know for sure.
all i know is that if he has gone "south"then this place will be the less for it. cripes, can you imagine this place without the likes of so-cal, ae1969, af-juvat etc etc. time to get the long rope out, and head for the roof!!
bob.
