exhaust smell

is it normal to smell heavy exhaust inside while reaching higher rpm's while driving? is there a fix?

No, it's not normal. Most common problem causing this is a leak in the hatch seal or a leak around the hatch area. If that is good, make sure taillights are sealed well.

I had the same problem after I painted the car. I thought I had re-sealed the tail lights well but after checking them I found that the lights need more sealer than I had thought. I used butyl tape which comes in 1 foot lenghts and is very sticky stuff. I had to use several layers to build up enough to get a good seal. Once I fixed this, the exhuast smell went away.
