Brake Fluid Warning Light

Over the past couple nights, when it has been VERY cold (single digits), the brake fluid warning light has come on while I was driving home. During the day (temps in the 30s and sunny), there has been no warning light. When I check the fluid reservoir, it seems to have the correct amount of fluid. Brakes and clutch have been functioning normally.

Now, I'm guessing that the extreme cold is just messing with sensors a little bit, but is there anything I should be worried about?

"seems" there's a min/max line.

if you're close to the min line and the car cold soaks, the fluid level is lower than if you check when at operating temps.
as you drive, just like the water, the bf also warms up/expands.

The brake fluid in my Subaru has been freezing, it's been so cold. Perhaps the brake fluid (or the moisture that has accumulated in the fluid) might be freezing up a little. Granted, the fluid in my Subaru is very very very old; I'm changing it over the summer.

When was the last time you bled them? Did you use DOT 3 or DOT 4?
