Banjo Bolts......SNAP!
Gotta share this. I'm in the process of doing my belts, and while down there noticed where the drop of ATF was coming from. There was a tiny leak in the line from the PS pump to the steering rack.
I couldn't source a new line, and it would be pretty expensive I'd guess, so took it to a mate and got it fixed for a case of beer. Cool. Just bolt it back on. Nah, you just gotta tighten everything that little bit more, and SNAP, the small bolt on the rack is #$%&ed. Living 100 kms from the nearest dealer, went back to my friends shop, and found one that fitted. It all looks good, but now can't check it till I start the motor, the new timing belt was ok, then I looked at the balance belt, and its 1/8th of an inch narrower than the old one. Melbourne to Perth is about 3000 kms, a four hour flight approx, so why has it taken a week since ordering and still hasn't arrived! I should have ordered through Pelican over there and it would have been here. Sorry, I got off track, If you ever play with banjo bolts, and new crush washers, BE GENTLE! Has anyone else found differences in balance belt widths from diffferent models?

I have made a banjo bolt once in a crunch...
You could give it a shot, takes some patience and a steady hand. Havn't noticed any balance belt width issues :\
