remove rear quarters
how much work is it to remove the rear quarter panels? I've got some rust in front of the wheels that I'd like to do away with... on one side it ate right through.. I repaired, but it came back (of course)...
so... give it to me straight! easy? or not so much?

Its spot welded onto the chassis at many points, not sure how it attaches along the rear panel by the tail lights, etc. Needless to say, it would be quiet a bit of work to remove the entire part. It may be easier to cut out the rusted portion and graft in a new piece of metal in its place.

As far as I can tell it is exactly the same on my 83, my 87, and my 86 951.

Easier to jack up the sunroof and push a newer body under it.
