968 engine.... Porsche already did all the development for you.. 3.0L, Variocam, 246hp.
No Variocam, custom cams and valve train, carbs, 327 RWH. Yes 968 block and head an excellent base to start with but we did the 2.5 liters for 10 years before SCCA allowed 3 liters in GT2. |
Oh I see, I know the heads could be fitted to the 2.5 block but I dont really want to do the machine work, SO Im gonna stick with what I got, I think the 2.5 with a 8v can see 180hp NA so far my setup is as follows
1. Huntley MAF conversion with fuel controler 2. switch from 9.5 to 10.2cr 3. Custom worked t-body 4. Head is at machine shop, Port-polish 5 angle valve job, new seals, 951 springs, port mactch intake and exhaust 5. Balanced botom end 6. Shot peend (SP) stock rods 7. Spec Lightweight flywheel 8. Spec clutch 9. A/c delete 10. Adjustable cam gear (LR) 11. 4-2-1 Bursch header, wrapped 12. Cat sub pipe (test pipe) 13. B&B cat back exhaust 14. Has fr-wilk Power Prom but switching to Maxtune 15. MSD digitial 6 Plus 16. Adjustable FPR 17. Oil pan trap door 18. oil catch can/oil air seperater Need- 1.cam (havent figured out what to use yet) 2. KISS Oil cooler kit 3. Parts back from the machine shop 4. cooler t-stat and fan switch 5. new rad 6. crank shaft bearings 7. Wideband 02 sensor |
