OK,
The 87 n/a pretty much just sits around with the occasional drive to work, the 89 turbo S gets a little more street action because.....well it's a turbo, and my truck is the dd. I have been interested in getting into some track events, I have been reading previous posts, online info etc, but I just get more confused. Looking to do some events starting 2008 (I'm located in Maryland). This is where you guys/gals experienced with track events come in. I plan on using my 87 for this (runs well), I know the 89 turbo S is more desirable for track events, but since I have no experience--- I don't think so. Where do I start? Please comment on things like: Do I need to be in some kind of "gang" or "club", if so who? What class do I run in? Who offers good drivers ed courses? Safety equipment/mods? Any help would be appreciated. TIA Rob

the PCA is the best place to start. they sponsor DE events and you get a price break at the track PLUS qualified driving instruction. best way to go, hands down.

Thanks, I am checking my regional PCA now, looks like autox will be the place to start. Looking forward to it.
