headlites & fog lights
Hi does any one know if the headlights on a 1993, 968 are glass or glass with a plastic coating for protection? Also the fog lights are they glass? I want to clean them as they are showing their age and are yellowing for UV light. Any one have a cleaning product that they found to be very good to clean these? Do you use a polishing machine? Thanks

I believe they are all glass. However, the stock headlights are sealed-beam units and could have been replaced with something else.

all glass - not actually a sealed beam - they consist of a lens/housing and a separate bulb
no easy way to clean them - you can remove the bulb and get in there with a scrub brush, but it is no easy task - the glass is bonded to the plastic housing, so it is pretty tough - on top of that the flutes make it extra difficult make very sure the inside is dry, and free of any vapors before lighting them back up |

968 headlights
Thanks for the info, I think I will only clean the out side I am afraid I may screw up the working if I try and clean the inside. Keep on driving!
