Tranny broke - help!
My tranny finally went out on my '86 944. I think the ring and pinion is the culprit. Anyone have an extra? It's going to cost $3300 to have it redone and I don't want to pay that. It's about 75% of the cars value. So it's either fix it with another or buy a new car.

if you can , go with a good used unit rather than repair yours .....
are they hard to find near you?

$3300 is allot of money for repair. Try George at 944ecology or Ian at 944online. I didn't have a bust R&P but I did have mine rebuilt for $1900.
Do some research. Good Luck
