All Pressure And No Go

Hi all, i,ve recently bought a 924 turbo s2 which didn,t run , after getting all the old gas out of it and changing plugs ,fuel pump and fuel relay it still won,t start, i,ve got good pressure to fuel metering head and good spark, but i can,t get fuel to the injectors, metering unit piston is fine ,but the plate seems abit stiff , i,ve found that if i unbolt the bango bolt on top of the metering unit from the warm up regulator, this releases pressure and the plate moves fine until i do the bolt up again and then the plate is stiff again, so is this stopping the plate from rising and stopping the injectors from getting fuel to start,if it is the warm up reg at fault ,can i strip and clean the warm up reg ,because the manual says no, just replace.or is it something i haven,t found yet, any help would be great

There's really no substitute for getting the proper CIS fuel pressure tester gauge - I believe they can be found for around $60, check on 924board.org, there's a thread in there.

Expect that there's a very good possibility the fuel distributor, WUR, and/or injectors are plugged and will need to be replaced with good rebuilt units before she'll be back in action. SpecialTAuto.com has very good prices on these. But also consider if it's worth spending the hundreds of dollars on that; conversion to EFI with a MegaSquirt is also an option, and very likely more desirable in the long-term if you wish to modify (raise boost and add IC)...
